1 Who we are
Learning Journals (Parent Zone) is a trading name of Learning Journals Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). We provide a secure, sign-in only service that lets parents view their children’s learning journals online.
2 What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They make sites work, keep you logged in, remember your preferences or help the site owner understand how the service is used.
3 How we use cookies
We keep cookies to an absolute minimum:
- Strictly-necessary cookies —needed to sign you in, protect your session and remember your cookie choice. These are set automatically under Regulation 6(4) PECR.
- Analytics cookies —only if you give us permission. They help us see which pages are slow or error-prone so we can improve the service. They are not set unless you click “Accept all cookies” in the banner.
We do not use advertising, marketing or social-media-tracking cookies.

5 Third parties
Analytics data is processed by Microsoft Application Insights, a service that forms part of Microsoft Azure. Microsoft acts as our processor under their Data Protection Addendum and Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not allow Microsoft to use the data for advertising or any purpose other than service analytics.
6 Updates to this policy
If we add new cookies or change how we use them, we will update this page and change the “last updated” date above. Material changes that affect your privacy will be flagged in the banner.
